Check Out These Online Resources:
  • Front Row: Why do I love Front Row? It is adaptive and adjusts to each individual's knowledge base and will even teach you things that you do not already know! Also, it is formatted much like our new state assessment and will be great practice.
  • Scholastic News: The online version of our Scholastic News Magazines. What makes these so great? Well, to start, you can watch videos and click direct links to new information directly from the article! You can also have it read aloud to you!
  • Time for Kids: This isn't as user-friendly as the online Scholastic News; however, it does have valuable articles and videos.
  • Khan Academy: This is a hybrid of Front Row and IXL. Just another fun way to practice fifth grade (+/-) material and get instant feedback and instruction.
  • Genius Hour: A website devoted to lead students and teachers through "Genius Hour" and aide each person on their incredible Genius Hour journey! Feel free to explore and learn from other students.
  • IXL Need I say more?

Just Testing Things Out...

Hey Class!

I am extremely excited to start using technology more in our classroom and I am looking for ways to enhance our everyday routines. This blog will be used to communicate assignments and tasks as you work with our amazing new chromebooks.

I will post articles, resources, assignments and classroom tips. We will experiment with how this blog functions on a regular basis. Be patient with the process and feel free to provide me with any advice or feedback.

Thanks for being open-minded and awesome!
